Game Recap
This was a nice win for the team. Everyone played a strong match from start to finish. We did a better job with our first serve percentages and limited our unforced errors. At #1 singles, Chandler Gunnell did an excellent job with his passing shots and did a nice job of getting the opponent off-balance. At #2 Singles, Jon Fleischmann played well. He did a nice job of cutting down on his unforced errors and being patient. Nolan Christian, at #3 singles, played a strong match. He did a good job of keeping the ball in play. At #1 doubles, Peyton Baker and David Freund had one of their best matches. They did a good job of putting the ball away at the net and being aggressive. Our #2 doubles team probably had the closest match of the afternoon pulling out a three-set victory. It was an up and down match for Andrew Quest and Aaron Wilson, but in the end they did a good job of staying the course and getting the victory.
Our JV team also won the match 5-1. Simon Lindley, Kyle Hewitt and Cody Carroll each came away with victories for the Pioneers.
