“This was a really nice win for the program. The team played really well today. The championship match was very close. Bedford got off to a 2-0 start with wins at #2 singles and #2 doubles, but then Mooresville came back with strong efforts by Chandler Gunnell at #1 singles and the #2 doubles team of Jon Fleischmann and Nolan Christian. The deciding match came down to #3 singles. David Freund played very well in defeating Bedford 6-2, 6-4 to win the championship. David did a great job of staying focused throughout the entire match. On the day, Mooresville played well at all positions. Chandler Gunnell was particularly strong at #1 singles. At #1 doubles, Jon Fleischmann and Nolan Christian really stepped up with great enthusiasm and aggressiveness in the championship match.”

“This match helped set the tone for the day for our team. At each position, we got off to a great start and didn’t let up. Our singles players all played well and used their passing shots effectively. Our doubles teams did a good job with the serving and putting the ball away when they had the opportunity.”
