The Baseball team open their season this Tuesday and immediately begin with conference games. They will host Greenwood on Tuesday and travel there on Wednesday. Then on Friday, they will host Beech Grove. On Saturday, they will be traveling to the Kankakee Valley Klassic.
The Lady Pioneer Tennis team opens their season at home on Tuesday when they host Danville. They will also play at home on Thursday against Ben Davis. The Lady Pioneers will also continue preparing for their #SMASHCANCER event against Decatur Central next week. Click on the LINK for more information on event.
The Boys and Girls Track teams are off this week and will be in preparation for a busy week the next week. Next week, they will be competing three times in 5 days. The Unified Track team will also open up their season next week too.
The Boys Golf team open up their season this Saturday when they play in the Hall of Fame Invitational at Rock Hollow Golf Course. This will be a very difficult field of teams and will be great experience for the Pioneers.
Here is a schedule for all of the events this week. Week of April 4
With the Spring also comes questionable weather. There is always a chance the events can be cancelled and rescheduled throughout the week. The website is one of the best places to check for changes in the events. We also recommend that everyone sign up at: vnnalerts.com. You will be able to sign up for the sport and level that you would like to follow. If last minute cancellations occur, you can sign up for text and email alerts.
Lastly, the IHSAA just released a new Physical Form for the 2016-17 school year. Please click on the LINK for more information. Athletic Physicals can now be collected and would be valid for the 16-17 school year. Once those are completed, please have them turned in at the Athletic Office. Physicals along with the online signature page will be required before any summer workouts. The online signature page will be reset in mid-May. If you have any questions, please contact the Athletic Office.
