Senior Captain Lindsey Cordray is on the Mooresville High School Varsity Volleyball Team. She is the outside hitter and defensive specialist. This is her third year on varsity, but she has played since 7th grade.

She strives to increase her stats, such as number of kills or digs each game. She also wants to continue to be a positive leader for her teammates. This season she would like her team to have a winning record and play together as one.

“I try to be the best player I can to help better the team,” Cordray said. She contributes her positive attitude and leadership skills to help make this happen. Since her freshman year she has improved by playing club volleyball and improving her sport skills.

Cordray believes the team is very powerful this year because the players are all close friends and have strong bonds with each other. “We are even closer as friends,” Cordray said. She also believes the new freshman on the team contribute a lot of new valuable skills.

Her personal best game was this year against Terre Haute South. The team won in three games and she had 16 kills and no service errors. “I’m sad it’s my last year, but every moment has been rememberable since seventh grade” Cordray said.
