Game Recap

The Mooresville Pioneers (3-9) 2017 season officially came to an end on Friday, falling to the Greenwood Woodmen (10-2) 59-32 in the Sectional 22 Championship Game. Mooresville took a 13-6 first quarter lead before the Woodmen put up 21 unanswered points in the second quarter to take a 27-16 lead into halftime. Greenwood came out of the half and outscored the Pioneers 32 to 16 in the second half to secure their trip to the 2017 Regional Championship Game on Friday November the 10th versus Mississinewa (10-2).

Mooresville, who began their season with eight straight loses went on a late season run that provided the team and organization a small taste of success as well as a glimpse into the programs future. With that being said the contributions of the Senior Class cannot be overlooked. The tremendous leadership the 12 Seniors provided through out the teams eight game losing streak and into its late season success in the post season will have a tremendous and lasting impact on the program for years to come.

The Mooresville Pioneers went through highs and lows during the 2017 campaign refusing to allow adversity get the best of them and found themselves a win away from an appearance in the 2017 Regional Championship. Friday nights loss may have ended the season for the Pioneers but it did not stop their desire to continue to improve it has actually fueled the programs desire to work even harder, and that work begins Monday November 6th.

Thank you for the tremendous support on Friday night and throughout the season to all Pioneer Parents, Families, Students, and Fans your are all appreciated, with out your support we could not do what we do each and every Friday night, THANK YOU!!!!!

The Mooresville Pioneers Varsity Football Team would like to once again thank the graduating class of 2018, your hard work, dedication, and love for Mooresville Football has laid the foundation for a VERY bright and successful future.
