Boys Varsity Football · Week 3 Friday Night Lights- Mooresville Pioneers @ Plainfield Quakers

Friday August 31st the Mooresville Pioneers (2-0) will travel to Plainfield to take on the Quakers (1-1) in week three of the Indiana High School Football Season.  Friday nights action is the first Mid State Conference game for both ball clubs and looks to be a highly competitive matchup.  The Pioneers have opened the 2018 campaign with two consecutive road wins, defeating Lebanon and Danville.  The Quakers enter week three at 1-1, loosing to the Avon Oriels in week only to bounce back in week two get the win at Tri West,  28-13.

Mooresville enters Friday night averaging 193 yards per game on the ground and average 222 through the air and have put the ball in the end zone 11 times in two games.  In two games the Quakers are averaging 172 yards rushing and have thrown for an average of 132.5 per game with 6 total scores.  Defensively both clubs have been putting in the work and look to continue to improve in week three.  The Pioneer defense has come up big quite a few times early and have made several key stops when needed.  Friday nights Mid State match up looks to be highly competitive with two teams that are hungry to add to the win column and gain an early advantage in Conference play.

The Mooresville Pioneers Varsity Football Team and Coaching Staff would like to thank all parents,  families,  students,  fans,  friends,  and Administration as well as the Town of Mooresville for all of your support.  We look forward to seeing everyone on Friday night as the Mooresville Pioneers put their 2-0 regular season record on the line versus the Plainfield Quakers,  kickoff scheduled for 7pm.
