Athlete of the Week – Girls Soccer – Chloe Flinn, Sophomore

Chloe Flinn, Sophomore, has really shouldered the responsibility of goal production so far this season. In our young season, she has scored a goal in every game. She scored on a beautiful solo run from half against Covenant Christian to tie the game 1-1.  Against Martinsville, Chloe scored early to draw level late in the first half, assisted by Sophie Pence. Against Ben Davis, Chloe again scored to tie the game at 1-1 on another break away run. She has been the primary driving force for the offense all season.

Athlete of the Week – Girls Golf – Ellie Brill, Junior

Ellie Brill has shot a personal record of 89 strokes at the Greensburg Invitational and the Terre Haute South Invitational. She now has two Top 10 tournament finishes (T8 and T7) for the 2019 season. Coach Franklin commented about Ellie, “She’s maxing out every shot she can on the golf course. I watched her play at Greensburg and thought that her first 89 was a quiet round without any distractions around the course. Her second round of 89 was a master piece of getting around the course in as few shots as possible. She was in some really tough spots in the Terre Haute tournament and found ways to save about 7-8 shots for the day. She’s been getting better every year and she now has shown that she can really play well on any course.”

Athlete of the Week – Boys Soccer – Aiden Preslin, Sophomore

Aiden Preslin-  assisted on our second goal of the night.  He was in charge of shutting down their best attacking player and did an outstanding job limiting him to three shots on goal.  His relentless pressure allowed us to hold a shutout for the game and he was an impact player on both sides of the ball.
