Athlete of the Week – Volleyball – Addi Shafer, Junior
Addi has been a constant strength for us this season. She’s a sense of calm when things get crazy and emotions run high. Moving to a new position has helped her confidence and allowed her to be a role model for the younger players playing in her previous position. She had 9 kills, 4 aces and 2 blocks against tri west. She continues to settle in to a leadership role that allows her to mentor younger players and be one of our strengths on the court as well.
Athlete of the Week – Boys Tennis – Caden Bradley, Junior
Caden was 1-0 last week with a singles win over Indian Creek. Caden is 14-6 this season overall. He is 12-6 at doubles and 2-0 at singles. Caden, with his partner Logan Prather, recently won the #1 doubles championship at the Mid-State Conference tournament. That win was the first #1 doubles championship at conference in 36 years for MHS. Caden has played well all season and has been a vocal leader on our team. He is one of our captains this season.
