CHAMPIONS! For the Mid-State Conference Championship match-up, the Freshman Pioneers found themselves face-to-face with Franklin Community. The last time the Pioneers faced off with Franklin, it was a fight until the bitter end, with the Pioneers coming out on top 58-53. This game had a different storyline.

The first quarter was a high scoring affair, with the Pioneers leading at the conclusion of it, 16-12. However, Franklin’s offense stalled in the second quarter, and the Pioneers went into halftime with a 15 point lead. The Pioneers never looked back, in route to an emphatic victory. This win brought home the Freshman Mid-State Conference Championship, and a school best, 19-3 record for the Freshman Pioneers.

Wes Reeves paced the Pioneers in scoring, with 20 points. Reeves scored a total of 58 points over three games to end the season. Gavin Rogers had a huge game, with his season high of 19 points. Jaxson Nielsen, who fouled out, had 6 points. Julian Thompson added 5 points. James Bolton and Ronnie Miller IV had 2 points each. Colin McBride chipped in 1 point.
