The Pioneers hosted 8 other teams in the Mooresville Invitational and beat them all with a show of speed and strength. The boys battled back and forth all afternoon with other teams and continued top finishes in every event to pull ahead after the diving break and then steadily added to their point total. Trey Addair managed 1st place finishes in the 50 Free and the 100 Butterfly. Trey not only won the 100 Fly and broke his own High School record in the process. Evan Wilson had strong showings winning the 200 Free and taking 2nd in the 500 Free. Freshman Aiden Langley swam a personal best to take 3rd place in the 200 Individual Medley. Devin Berryman dominated the 1 meter diving to take 1st. Devon Theriac swam to 1st place in the 100 Free and the 100 Breaststroke. The boys dominated the relays taking 1st in the 200 Free Relay and the 400 Free Relay. They only missed taking first place in the 200 Medley Relay by .47 seconds. The boys outright won 8 out of 12 events and placed 2nd or 3rd in every other event. The other 8 teams just could not catch up. The Pioneer Boys won the invitational with a 33 point margin over second place finishers Perry Meridian.
