The Girls Swimming and Diving team traveled to Indian Creek to continue their undefeated run and in the process broke another record. Sadie Mills continues to dominate the 1 meter diving with a record breaking score of 300.8. Fellow Senior Kylie Strietelmeier took second place with a personal best score and Kayla Gott completed the sweep with third place. Isabelle Deverick started the night by swimming a personal best in the backstroke as the lead swimmer of the 200 Medley Relay. Isabelle was followed by Maria Jimenez, Ayris Mitchell and Mackenna Bowling to take first place. Maria Jimenez immediately turned around and swam the 200 Free taking first place and only missing the school record by .4. Freshman Ariel Theriac stepped up on the blocks next and took second in the 200 Individual Medley. The girls then swept the 50 Free with Maddie Morris, Mallory Hoots, and Holly Connor going 1,2,3 respectively. Cora ‘Joker’ Winegarden swam a personal record to win the 100 Fly. Freshman Eryn Hetser made a fast finish to take first place in the 500 free. The 200 Free Relay team consisting of Emily Bombei, Isabelle Deverick, Mikaylah Alexander and Cora Winegarden then took to the pool and missed breaking another record by .9 seconds. Morgan Pierson then cruised to first place in the 100 Backstroke. The girls then took first, second and third in the 100 Breaststroke. Mikaylah Alexander took first with Ayris Mitchell and Freshman Reagan Reed took third. In the 400 Freestyle Relay, Ariel Theriac, Allison Tabscott, Holly Connor and Mallory Hoots took first place. In a last minute relay shuffle, Addison Faulkenberg, Reagan Reed, Lila Pratt, and Emily Bombei touched the wall to take second place.
The Undefeated Girls Team is back in action this Saturday December 7th at 10:00 AM against Decatur Central at home.
