The Mooresville Pioneers Freshman Football team lost a hard fought game to the Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs on Saturday morning 14-8 dropping their regular season record to 2-4 (0-3 Mid State Conference). The Pioneers were down 6-0 at the half despite turning the ball over twice in the first half. The club came out in the second half and continued to work hard but found themselves down 14-0 midway through the fourth quarter.
Mooresville fought back to climb within 6 points after a touchdown run by Levi Dorn (2 Point Conversion Good) but ran out of time on their final possesion giving Franklin Community the 14-8 win. The Pioneers will be back in action on Saturday October the 3rd at home and will take on the Whiteland Warriors, kickoff scheduled for 9:00am.
