The Mooresville Pioneers Football Team Improved to 6-0 (4-0 Mid State Conference) on Saturday morning with a 35-0 win at Franklin Community. The Pioneers took a 21-0 lead into the half on touchdowns by Wesley Reeves (Reception), Hogan Denny (Rushing), and Brandon Wilson (Rushing) all three PAT’s were made by Brian Houk.
The Pioneers defense intercepted Grizzly Cub quarterback Noah DeArmitt four times in the ballgame (Jaxson Nielson, Wesley Reeves, Hogan Denny, and TJ McGhee ) giving the Pioneers good field position all morning long. Mooresville continued their offensive attack in the second half as Hogan Denny found Bradley Hess for a 25 yard touchdown pass (PAT- Brian Houk) to put the Pioneers up 28-0.
Mooresville would add one final score in the fourth quarter when Max Fishel blocked a Franklin Community punt and rumbled in for a touchdown (PAT- Brian Houk) to secure the 35-0 win and the clubs sixth consecutive win. The Pioneers will be back in action on Saturday October 3rd and will host the Whiteland Warriors, kickoff 10:30am.
