The field event athletes got their 2020-2021 season started Saturday morning, and they posted some marks that foreshadow an exciting outdoor season.
Junior Alysha Bradford broke the indoor long jump record — previously held by Teylor Ellis (16-9.50 in 2015) — jumping 17-1. Teammate Carly Bunch, a senior, recorded the 6th furthest indoor jump on the Top 10 board: 15-8.50.
Junior Ally Graber reached the number 6 spot on the all-time indoor list, throwing the shot 31-0. That throw is 15th on the all-time indoor/outdoor list.
Senior Hannah Morris tied the indoor school record, recording her all-time best indoor jump of 4-10.
Senior Zach Richards reached the #2 spot on the all-time indoor list, throwing a personal best of 45-2.50. It is the 12th furthest throw in Mooresville’s history. Teammate Chase Price, a sophomore, reached the indoor Top 10 with a throw of 40-9.
