Lady Pioneers finish 2nd at New Palestine Invitational

The Lady Pioneers Varsity wrestlers travelled to the New Palestine Invitational, finishing 2nd place to Franklin Central, out of 28 teams from all over Central Indiana. The Lady Pioneers finished ahead of Perry Meridian, Beech Grove, and reigning State Champion Columbus East amongst the other schools in attendance. The Lady Pioneers finished the day with 8 wrestlers placing in the top 3 of their weight classes, including 2 overall weight class champions, 3 bracket champions, 2 runners-up, and 1 3rd place finisher. Khloe Weber and Cadence Williams finished the day as overall champions. Brylee Blackwell, Neveah Hultgren, and Kaydie Epley were bracket champions. Bridget Martin and Anna Sipos finished as runners-up. Alibell Coughlan finished in 3rd place. Mattingly Hutchison notched her first win of the year and Brienna Barnes made her wrestling debut. The Lady Pioneers will be in action next Saturday at the Sarah Hildebrandt Invitational in Mishawaka, IN.
