The Mooresville varsity girls’ basketball team fell to Columbus North 64–41 but showed steady improvement as the game went on. After a slow first quarter, the Pioneers found their rhythm, scoring 13 points in both the second and fourth quarters to finish strong. Millie Allison led the way with 9 points, followed by Kendal Price and Niah Craig with 8 each. K.J. Barton added 6, while Makenzie Holtzclaw chipped in 4. Madisyn Phillips, Halle Moore, and Bri Addair each contributed 2 points, and Kenzie Garrett provided energy and defense off the bench. Despite the loss, Mooresville’s balanced scoring and second-half effort showed the team’s growth and potential moving forward. The Lady Pioneers will be in action on Thursday at home against Cathedral Lady Irish. JV will start at 6:00 pm and Varsity to follow at 7:30 pm! Final Score: Mooresville 41, Columbus North 64
