Mooresville High School Athletic Department Pendill Wealth Management Athletes of the Week November 3rd – November 8th The Mooresville High School Athletic Department is pleased to announce the Pendill Wealth Management Athletes of the Week Award for the week of November 3rd – November 8th. The award will be given to student-athletes who displayed athletic excellence in all areas of competition during the previous week of athletic contests. Pendill Wealth Management is proud to recognize student athletes for their athletic achievements each week while supporting the Mooresville Athletic Department. The Mooresville Athletic Department is honored to partner with BJ Pendill to recognize the Mooresville High School student athlete of the week. Athlete of the Week – Girls Wrestling – Cadence Williams, Junior This week’s Athlete of the Week is junior Cadence Williams, who delivered an outstanding performance at the Dragon Open hosted by New Palestine High School. Cadence went a perfect 5-0 on the day, capturing both the Bracket Championship and the Overall Championship in the 135-pound weight class—an especially impressive accomplishment as she moved up three weight classes from last season. Throughout the tournament, Cadence displayed exceptional skill, composure, and toughness, including victories over two returning state place winners. Her relentless work ethic and ability to perform under pressure exemplify what it means to be a Pioneer athlete. Cadence’s success is the product of her dedication, competitive spirit, and drive to improve—qualities that continue to set her apart as one of the top wrestlers in the state and a deserving recipient of this week’s honor. Athlete of the Week – Girls Basketball – Kaylee Barton, Sophomore This week’s Athlete of the Week is sophomore guard Kaylee “KJ” Barton, who continues to make key contributions for the Lady Pioneers as she grows into an impactful role on the team. KJ scored 11 points, including two three-pointers, to help lead Mooresville to a 55–46 victory over Southport. She followed that up with a solid performance against Indianapolis Chatard, adding 5 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists in a hard-fought game. Beyond the box score, KJ’s steady improvement, work ethic, and competitive drive have been evident each week. As the Lady Pioneers continue to build and develop, KJ’s growth as a student-athlete and teammate is helping set a strong foundation for the program’s future success.
