Mooresville battled through an early deficit and surged late to secure a thrilling 54–51 win over Danville. The game opened with Danville taking control 19–12 after the first quarter, but Mooresville quickly settled in and responded with a strong second-quarter effort, outscoring Danville 13–7 to send the teams into halftime tied at 25–25. The third quarter remained tight, with Danville edging ahead 14–12, but the Pioneers refused to lose momentum. In the fourth quarter, Mooresville delivered its best stretch of basketball, putting up 17 points while holding Danville to 11, completing the comeback and sealing the three-point victory. Mooresville’s scoring was fueled by balanced and impactful performances. Halle Moore led with 16 points, attacking the basket and going a perfect 8-for-8 at the free-throw line. Makenzie Holtzclaw followed with 11 points, contributing three inside baskets, a three-pointer, and a flawless 2-for-2 at the stripe. Niah Craig added 10 points on four strong finishes and two made free throws, while Millie Allison matched her with 10 points, including two three-pointers and a pair of free throws.
