The Mooresville Pioneers earned a 97–83 win over the Cascade Cadets on Tuesday, powered by dominant sprinting, major time drops, and strong relay performances. Mooresville opened the meet with a 2nd-place finish in the 200 Medley Relay, as Annabelle Mong, Keelan Chappell, Aleah Marine, and Natallia Davis combined for a 2:17.07. Junior captain Morgan Gainey led a 1–2 finish in the 200 Freestyle with Danielle Gilman, while junior Aleah Marine dropped nearly eight seconds to take 2nd in the 200 IM. Freshmen Isabella Henson and Natallia Davis placed 4th and 5th. Senior captain Lylah Theriac delivered two commanding wins, taking the 50 Free in 23.91—more than three seconds ahead of the field—before cruising to an 11-second victory in the 100 Freestyle (52.03). Freshman Keelan Chappell added key points in both events. On the boards, junior Mackenzie Pierson dominated the 1-Meter Dive, scoring 233.65 to win by a large margin. Pierson continues to establish herself as one of Mooresville’s most reliable point-scorers, backing up her strong season-opening performance with another decisive victory. In the 100 Butterfly, Gainey dropped nearly three seconds to take 2nd, while freshmen Reese Aker and Grace Perry produced significant improvements in the backstroke and 500 freestyle. Freshman Isabella Henson earned her first varsity win in the 500 Free with a 6:48.62. Mooresville sealed the meet with wins in both the 200 Freestyle Relay and 400 Freestyle Relay, with seniors and juniors anchoring each victory. With contributions across all grade levels, the Pioneers’ depth and steady improvement carried them to a convincing home victory over Cascade.
