Pioneers Win The Home Opener 67-53

The Mooresville Pioneers opened their home slate with a strong all-around performance, defeating the Terre Haute South Braves 67–53 on Friday night. Mooresville trailed 17–16 after the first quarter but responded with a dominant second frame, outscoring the Braves 19–7 to take control of the game. The Pioneers maintained their momentum throughout the second half, winning both the third and fourth quarters to secure the double-digit victory. Offensively, Mooresville shot an efficient 48% from the field, including 50% on two-point attempts and 43% from three. The Pioneers shared the ball well, recording 15 assists on 27 made field goals, while committing 13 turnovers. Mooresville also controlled the glass, finishing with 37 rebounds, 19 of them offensive, which created numerous second-chance opportunities. Terre Haute South collected 20 rebounds, with 7 coming on the offensive end. The Braves shot 40% from the field, including 45% from two and 33% from behind the arc, but struggled to keep pace with Mooresville’s efficiency and rebounding advantage.
