Senior captain Theriac delivered another commanding performance in the 200-yard Individual Medley, winning in 2:04.89, just 2.28 seconds off her own school record. Sophomore Grace Perry added key points with a determined 2nd-place finish, lowering her time by over nine seconds. The 50-yard Freestyle came down to the final stroke, where junior Danielle Gilman out-touched her opponent to secure 1st place. Freshman Isabella Henson followed closely behind, earning 3rd place with a new personal best. On the diving boards, junior Mackenzie Pierson once again showcased her consistency and composure, winning the 1-meter dive with a score of 246.20, finishing more than 50 points ahead of the field. Henson returned to the water for the 100-yard Butterfly and delivered a standout swim, taking 1st place. Perry added another 2nd-place finish, continuing a strong all-around night. In the 100-yard Freestyle, Gilman earned 2nd place with a solid swim, while Davis continued her breakout performance by dropping nearly five seconds to finish 3rd. The 500-yard Freestyle belonged to junior captain Morgan Gainey, who controlled the race from start to finish to claim 1st place in 5:50.96. Freshman Chappell followed with an impressive 2nd-place finish, further highlighting Mooresville’s balance across distance events. Relay strength proved decisive once again in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay, where Theriac, Davis, Gilman, and Perry combined for a convincing victory in 1:58.92, adding crucial points to extend the lead. One of the night’s defining moments came in the 100-yard Backstroke, as Gainey posted a personal best to win the event, with Chappell close behind in 2nd. Theriac then capped her individual events with a historic swim in the 100-yard Breaststroke, touching in 1:05.84 to break the Mooresville school record, improving her previous mark by nearly a full second. The meet concluded with an impressive showing in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay, where Mooresville claimed both 1st and 2nd place. The A relay of Danielle Gilman, Morgan Gainey, Grace Perry, and Reese Aker secured the win, while the B relay followed closely behind, underscoring the team’s growing depth and competitive versatility. With multiple event wins, significant time drops, and a new school record, the Pioneers left little doubt about their upward trajectory.
