Mooresville Displays Depth and Determination Against Lafayette Jefferson

Mooresville put together a determined and competitive performance despite a 69–52 final score against Lafayette Jefferson, showing resilience, balanced scoring, and consistent effort across all four quarters. The Pioneers came out strong in the opening quarter, keeping the game tight with an 11–15 deficit. Mooresville continued to battle in the second quarter, matching Lafayette Jefferson’s intensity and heading into halftime down 36–25. After the break, Mooresville maintained its offensive rhythm, scoring 14 points in the third quarter and 13 more in the fourth, demonstrating composure and fight until the final buzzer. Offensively, Mooresville was led by a trio of double-figure scorers. Kendal Price delivered a solid all-around performance with 10 points, including strong finishes from the floor and efficient free-throw shooting. Millie Allison added 10 points, knocking down two three-point baskets to give Mooresville a spark from the perimeter. Halle Moore also finished with 10 points, attacking the paint and consistently creating scoring opportunities. Niah Craig contributed six points and was perfect from the free-throw line, going 4-for-4. K.J. Barton added five points with a balanced mix of inside and outside scoring, while Kenzie Garrett chipped in four points and converted both of her free throws. Madisyn Phillips and Bri Addair each added two points, and Makenzie Holtzclaw knocked down a three-pointer to round out the scoring. Mooresville’s ability to generate offense from multiple players and remain competitive in every quarter highlighted the team’s depth and perseverance. With strong individual efforts and continued growth on both ends of the floor, Mooresville showed promising signs as it moves forward this season.
