The Mooresville Lady Pioneers continued to show progress and determination in their 45–30 varsity matchup against Bloomington North, taking valuable lessons and confidence into their next game. Bloomington North took an early lead, but the Lady Pioneers never stopped competing. After trailing at halftime, Mooresville showed noticeable improvement late, turning in their strongest offensive quarter in the fourth with 13 points. That finish reflected the team’s growing chemistry, effort, and belief. Halle Moore led the scoring effort with 11 points, setting the tone with aggressive drives and steady free-throw shooting. Makenzie Holtzclaw followed with nine points, providing consistent scoring inside and battling hard in the post. K.J. Barton added six points and brought physicality on both ends of the floor, creating opportunities through strong interior play. Kenzie Garrett and Bri Addair each scored two points, with Garrett staying composed at the line and Addair making the most of her scoring opportunity. Their contributions added to the team’s balanced effort. Several Lady Pioneers made important impacts beyond the box score. Esther Brimmage brought energy and focus, helping with defensive assignments. Madisyn Phillips provided hustle and effort, working to create opportunities for her teammates. Victoria Dahn contributed with solid court awareness and teamwork. Millie Allison added determination and effort, staying engaged and ready when called upon. Niah Craig brought intensity and effort defensively, and Kaydence Straneva contributed with a positive presence and willingness to do the little things that matter. While the final score didn’t go Mooresville’s way, the Lady Pioneers showed growth, resilience, and flashes of what they are capable of. With contributions from every player and a strong fourth-quarter push, the team has plenty of momentum and optimism heading into their next game.
