Mooresville Battles Bloomington South in 52–24 Loss

Mooresville came up short against Bloomington South, falling 52–24 in a challenging contest against a strong opponent. Bloomington South set the tone early, taking a 13–3 lead after the first quarter. Mooresville continued to compete in the second quarter, adding six points, but Bloomington South maintained momentum and carried a 24–9 advantage into halftime. The third quarter was Bloomington South’s most productive, as they scored 21 points. Mooresville answered with its best offensive quarter of the night, putting up 10 points. Both teams added points in the fourth quarter, with Bloomington South closing out the 52–24 victory. Halle Moore led Mooresville offensively with 10 points, providing consistent scoring and effort throughout the game. Niah Craig added 7 points, including a three-pointer, while Kenzie Garrett knocked down a three for 3 points. K.J. Barton contributed 2 points, and Madisyn Phillips and Millie Allison each scored from the free-throw line. Esther Brimmage, Victoria Dahn, Makenzie Holtzclaw, Bri Addair, and Kaydence Straneva all saw action and contributed defensively and through hustle plays that don’t always show up in the box score. The team continued to work together, battling through Bloomington South’s pressure and pace. Mooresville will look to take lessons from the game and build on the effort shown by all players as they move forward in the season.
