Plainfield set the tone early and never let up, rolling past Mooresville by a final score of 71–37 on Friday night. The Quakers jumped out to a quick advantage behind suffocating defense and red-hot shooting, building a 15–5 lead after one quarter and extending it to 36–16 by halftime. Plainfield’s pressure disrupted Mooresville’s offensive rhythm, while efficient scoring on the other end allowed the Quakers to take a commanding 20-point lead into the break. Mooresville battled throughout the second half, showing improved energy and execution, but the third-ranked Quakers continued to control the game. Plainfield outscored the Pioneers 15–7 in the third quarter and closed the night with a 20-14 fourth period to secure the win. The Pioneers shot 36 percent from the field, including 46 percent from two-point range and 22 percent from beyond the arc, and finished with six assists. Mooresville collected seven offensive rebounds and 12 defensive rebounds, with one player reaching double figures. Plainfield was dominant offensively, shooting 53 percent from the field, 53 percent from two-point range, and 53 percent from three. The Quakers had four players score in double figures and controlled the glass with six offensive rebounds and 16 defensive rebounds. Weather permitting, Mooresville returns to action Saturday night as the Pioneers travel to Greencastle to take on the Tiger Cubs.
