Mooresville continued to battle through all four quarters in a tough matchup against Plainfield, falling 68–34 despite strong effort and contributions from across the roster. The Pioneers came out with energy in the opening quarter, putting up seven points and staying competitive early. After scoring 13 points in the second quarter, Mooresville went into halftime continuing to look for offensive rhythm against a deep Plainfield lineup. The third quarter proved challenging, as Mooresville was limited to three points, but the team responded with 11 points in the final quarter to close the game on a stronger note. K.J. Barton and Millie Allison led Mooresville with eight points apiece. Both connected from beyond the arc twice and added points at the free-throw line, providing a spark offensively. Madisyn Phillips followed with seven points, scoring inside and at the line while converting three of four free throws. Makenzie Holtzclaw added six points with a well-rounded stat line that included a two-point basket, a three-pointer, and two made free throws. Additional scoring came from Kenzie Garrett, who finished with three points, and Niah Craig, who added two points on a field goal. Esther Brimmage and Victoria Dahn contributed on the defensive end and helped move the ball, while Bri Addair and Kaydence Straneva provided energy and effort in their minutes on the floor. Addair also earned a trip to the free-throw line. While the final score favored Plainfield, Mooresville showed resilience and depth, with multiple players contributing and continuing to gain valuable game experience. The Pioneers will look to build on these performances as they move forward in the season.
