Mooresville Pioneers Varsity Baseball Wednesday Night Final Mooresville Pioneers- 16 Decatur Central Hawks- 5 The Mooresville Pioneers Varsity Baeball team traveled to Decatur Central Wednesday evening for game two of their Mid State Conference two games series. The Pioneers came away with a 16-5 win and improve to 5-0 on the season and 4-0 in the Mid State Conference. Kooper Schmitt got his third start of the year (First in MSC play) for the Pioneers and recorded his his second win of the sesason (first start cut short due to inclement weather vs. Covenant Chrsitian). Schmitt went 5 innings allowing 6 hits, 3 earned runs, walked 2, and struck out 6 in the win. Kiernan Herald entered the game in the sixth inning allowing 2 hits, 2 runs (unearned), walked 1, and struck out 3 in two innings of work. Brody McGaha lead the Pioneers offense, recording three hits including his second home run of the year, and scored 3 runs. The Mooresville Pioneers will be back in action at home on Tuesday April 21, 2026 as they host the Perry Meridian Falcons, first pitch scheduled for 6:00pm.
