Mooresville Pioneers Varsity Bseaball Tuesday Night Final Mooresville Pioneers- 18 Perry Meridian Falcons- 0 (5 Innings) The Mooresville Pioneers Varsity Baseball Team captured their sixth win of the season and fifth win in the Mid State Conference Tuesday with an 18-0 (5 innings) win over Perry Meridian. With the win Mooresville improves to 6-0 and 5-0 in Mid State Conference play. Hudson DeVaughan won his third game of the season in as many starts. DeVaughan went 5 innings in the Pioneers win allowing no hits, no runs, walked one, one HBP, and struck out 12 Falcons. Hudson DeVaughan came into Tuesday nights start with 198 career strikeouts, DeVaughan struck out the first two Falcon hitters in the first inning to record his 200th career strikeout, CONGRATULATIONS HUDSON on a tremendous accomplishment. The Pioneers offense scored 18 runs on 11 hits in the win. Seniors Spencer Boisvert and Archer Query both recorded their first homeruns of their Varsity Careers, Adam Bibble also hit a solo homerun, his first as a Mooresville Pioneer. Nate Daley, Spencer Boisvert, and Adam Biddle each recorded 2 hits while Daley and Tyler Denny plated 3 runs a piece. Mooresville will get right back to work on Wednesday and will travel to Perry Meridian for game two of their Mid State Conference two game series, first pitch is scheduled for 6:00pm.
