Pioneers Tennis Falls to Terre Haute North

The Mooresville girls tennis team traveled to Terre Haute North this afternoon for a non-conference match. The Patriots came away with a 4-1 win at the varsity level and a 7-2 win in JV action. The lone varsity win for the Pioneers came at #1 singles, where Lyla Kaufman defeated Haddie Parks 6-0, 6-1. In JV play, Alexis Williams and Zoey Saner won 6-2 in doubles, while Elly Hughes and Katie Taylor added a 6-3 doubles victory. With the loss, the varsity is now 8-4 overall, while the JV stands at 4-5-1. The MHS tennis team is back in action tomorrow, April 29, when they host Franklin for a 5 p.m. Mid-State Conference matchup.
