Mooresville Pioneers Varsity Baseball Wednesday Night Game One Final Mooresville Pioneers- 10 Greenwood Woodmen- 2 Due to inclement weather on Tuesday afternoon the Mooresville Pioneers and Greenwood Woodmen got together Wednesday evening/night at Mooresville High School for a twin bill. The Mooresville Pioneers took an early 6-0 lead through 4 innings, added 2 in the fifth to win game one 10-2. With the win the Pioneers improve to 11-4 (6-3 MSC) on the season. Kiernan Herald got the start on the mound for Mooresville, Herald went 6 innings allowing 7 hits, 2 earned runs, walked 2, and struck out 7 Woodmen to nail down his second win of the season. Tyler Denny releived Herald in the seventh inning, Denny did not allow a hit, no runs, no strikeouts, and walked one to secure the Pioneers eleventh win of the season. The Pioneers offense collected 13 hits and 10 RBI throughout the course of the game. Adam Biddle, Connor Cruz, Grant Martin, and Levi Welty had two hits apiece. Grant Martin hit his first homerun of the 2026 season, Kooper Schmitt, Adam Biddle, and Tyler Denny had extra base hits. Biddle and Martin lead the team with 3 RBI apiece in the Pioneers win. Game two of the Wednesday Double Header is scheduled to start at 8:15pm.
