Mooresville Pioneers Baseball Tuesday Varsity Final Mooresville Pioneers- 0 Plainfield Quakers- 15 The Mooresville Pioneers drop to 13-6 on the season and 7-4 in the Mid State Conference with a 15-0 (5innings) home loss to Plainfield on Tuesday. Kiernan Herald got the start for the Pioneers, Herald allowed 5 hits, 8 earned runs, walked 4, and struck out 2. Micheal Langley relieved Herald with one out in the second inning, Langley went one and two thirds of an inning allowing 4 hits, 5 earned runs, walked 3, and struck out 3. Grant Martin entered the game in the fourth inning, Martin allowed 3 hits, 2 earned runs, no walks, and no strikeouts in 2 innings of work. The Mooresville Pioneers offense produced one hit in the loss, a single by second baseman Archer Query. The Pioneers will be back in action on Wednesday and will travel to Plainfield to take on the Quakers in game 2 of the Mid State Conference natchup, first pitch is scheduled for 5:30pm.
