Mooresville Pioneers Baseball Wednesday Night Varsity Final Mooresville Pioneers- 6 Plainfield Quakers- 2 After dropping game one of the two game Mid State Conference mathup with Plainfield 15-0 on Tuesday, the Pioneers bounced back on Wednesday, winning 6-2 at Plainfield. With the win Mooresville improves to 14-6 on the season and are 8-4 in the Mid State Conference. The Pioneers turned to Freshman right hander Levi Welty for the start in Wednsday's road game with the Quakers. Welty would throw his second complete game of the season allowing five hits, two earned runs, walked two, and struck out five to earn his third win of the 2026 season. The Pioneers offense who had one hit in Tuesday's loss bounced back on Wednesday collecting eight in the 6-2 win. Junior Kooper Schmitt led the way for the Pioneers going 3 for 4 with four RBI and two runs scored. Tyler Denny, Brody McGaha, Adam Biddle, Nate Daley, Grant Martin and Caden Lee added the remaining six hits. Mooresville will be back in action on Friday May 15th and will travel to Avon for a 6pm contest with the Orioles.
