Mooresville Pioneers Baseball Friday Night Varsity Final Mooresville Pioneers- 9 Avon Orioles- 13 The Mooresville Pioneers Varsity Baseball team traveled to Avon to take on the Orioles in a rare Friday Night game. The Pioneers took an early two run lead in the first inning but were unable to hang on and dropped their seventh game of the season 13-9. With the loss Mooresville sits at 14-7 (8-4 MSC) on the 2026 season with an week to play in the regular season. The Pioneers will be back in action on Saturday May 16th an will host the annual John Howden Invitational at Maooreville High School. The Pioneers are scheduled to play the Shakamak Lakers at 10;00am in game one of the invitational.
