Mooresville Pioneers Baseball Sectional 12 Quarterfinal Results Mooresville Pioneers- 2 Franklin Central Flashes- 0 The 2026 Indiana High School Athletic Association post season began on Wednesday night as the Mooresville Pioneers traveled to host Center Grove to take on the Franklin Central Flashes in the Sectional 12 quarterfinals. The Pioneers took an early 1-0 lead after the first inning and added one run in the bottom of the second inning which proved to be enough as the Pioneers defeated the Flashes 2-0. Junior right hander Kooper Schmitt got the start to open the 2026 post season for the Pioneers. Schmitt would go the distance and throw a complete game leading Mooresville to the win. Schmitt allowed 3 hits, no runs, walked 3, and struck out 14 over 7 innings of work. The Mooresville offense were able to plate 2 runs on 5 hits led by Senior Adam Biddle who went 2 for 3 on the night. The remaining three hits were off the bats of Tyler Denny, Kooper Schmitt, and Connor Cruz. With the win on Wednesday the Pioneers advance to the Sectional 12 semifinals and will take on the Center Grove Trojans on Saturday May 30, 2026 at 5:00pm with the winner advancing to the Sectional 12 Championship Game on Monday June 1, 2026.
