18 teams gathered upon High Pointe Country Club today to participate in the Vincennes Invitational. The weather was great, the course was in good shape, and the play was outstanding as the Girl's golf season hits the 2nd half of their season. When it was all said and done, 3 teams stood out and battled for the title. Barr-Reeve shot a solid 338 to finish 3rd, Mooresville shot a slightly more solid 336 for finish 2nd, and fellow Mid-State school Plainfield shot an even slightly more solid 334 to take the title. Julianna Bell led the Lady Pioneers with a career best 75, which was also 2nd overall out of 109 competitors. Elizabeth Tiley also shot her career best score of 79 to finish 8th overall. Karleigh Reese continued her strong play of late with an 89. Emily West and Bri Addair played solid golf today carding matching 93's. And finally, Kallie Arthur shot her 18 hole personal best 97 today. It was a good day for the Pioneers. Mooresville is back in action Tuesday 9/1 when they travel to Foxcliff Golf Course to take on Martinsville in a Mid-State battle.
