Mooresville Competes in Mid-State Tournament Today

Deer Creek golf course hosted the 8 schools of the Mid-State conference today. 40 girl golfers competed against each other, the heat, and the course. When it was all over and the scores were counted, Franklin Community took home the conference championship with a 323. Plainfield finished 2nd with a 357, and Martinsville finished 3rd with a 365. Mooresville shot a 375 to finish 5th. Senior Julianna Bell led the Pioneers with an 87, good enough to earn her a 3rd straight all conference performance. Elizabeth Tiley shot a 93 missing the all conference score by just 4 shots. Emily West shot a 96, and Bri Addair and Karleigh Reese shot matching 99’s to round out the Pioneers scoring. The Pioneers continue their season Saturday, when they travel to Battleground Golf Course and the Lady Broncho Invitational.
