Mooresville Pioneers Football Freshman Saturday Final Mooresville Pioneers- 11 Plainfield Quakers- 14 The Mooresville Pioneers Freshman Football Team dropped to 1-2 and 0-1 in the Mid State Conference with a 14-11 home loss to Plainfield on Saturday morning. After a scoreless first half the Pioneers were able to kick a 20 yard field goal to take an early 3-0 lead in the third quarter. Plainfield was able to answer and take an 8-3 lead with a touchdown and successful two point conversion. The Quakers built a 14-3 lead after scoring late in the fourth quarter, two point conversion was no good. Mooresville's offense made things interesting on their next drive scoring quickly, the two point conversion was good cutting the Quaker lead to 14-11. The Pioneers were unable to recover the onside kick, Plainfield was able to run out the clock and seal the 14-11 win. The Pioneers will be back in action on Saturday September 12th and will host the Lebanon Tigers at 9:00am.
