Mooresville Pioneers Varsity Football Week 6 "Homecoming" Final Score Mooresville Pioneers- 49 Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs- 28 After three consecutive loses the Mooresville Pioneers Varsity Football team got back into the win column in week 6 of the 2026 Indiana High School Football season with a 49-28 "Homecoming" win over the Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs on Friday evening. With the win the Mooresville Pioneers even their record at 3-3 and are currently 1-3 in the Mid State Conference. Mooresville opened the scoring on their first play from scrimmage when Eli Hill hit Eli Thompson for a 62 yard touchdown (PAT- Owen Hopkins). The Grizzly Cubs scored on the ensuing drive to tie the game at seven as the Pioneers took a 28-14 lead into the half. The Pioneers defense came out of the locker room and made a huge stop on Franklin Community's opening drive of the third quarter setting up the Mooresville offense on the own 37 yard line. The Pioneers offense wasted no time, closing out the drive with a 15 yard rushing touchdown by Daniel Pius to put Mooresville up three scores, 35-14. The Grizzly Cubs got to within seven (35-28) mid way through the fourth quarter but the Pioneers recovered a Grizzly Cubs fumble on the plus 16 yard line setting up the offense for their final score of the game. Eli Hill would find Eli Thompson once more (PAT-Owen Hopkins) from 16 yards out to seal the Pioneers 49-28 win. Mooresville will be back in action on Friday October 2, 2026 and will travel to Whiteland to take on the Warriors, kickoff scheduled for 7:00pm.
