Pendill Wealth Management is committed to celebrating the hard work and achievements of Mooresville student-athletes while continuing to support the growth and success of the athletic department. The Mooresville Athletic Department is grateful for its partnership with BJ Pendill and Pendill Wealth Management in recognizing and honoring our outstanding student-athletes each week. Athlete of the Week – Girl’s Soccer – Amiya Dindiyal, Senior This week’s Athlete of the Week is senior captain Amiya Dindiyal, whose leadership, work ethic, and commitment to her teammates have made her an important part of the Mooresville Girls Soccer program. Throughout her senior season, Amiya has contributed on the field while providing the Pioneers with something even more valuable through her leadership. She has consistently approached practices and matches with tremendous effort and a genuine passion for representing Mooresville Girls Soccer. As a team captain, Amiya leads by example and understands the responsibility that comes with being a senior leader. She works hard, puts the needs of the team first, and brings an attitude that helps those around her. Her commitment to the program is evident not only in how she competes, but also in how much she cares about the success of her teammates. Perhaps Amiya’s greatest impact has come through the relationships she has built within the team. She treats her teammates like family and is consistently there to offer encouragement and support. That willingness to invest in others has helped make her a trusted teammate and an important part of the culture of the Pioneer program. As Amiya’s senior season enters its final stretch, she can be proud of the example she has set and the impact she has made. Her contributions to Mooresville Girls Soccer will be remembered not simply by goals scored or games played, but by the leadership, passion, and care for her teammates that she brought to the program every day. For everything she has given to the Pioneers throughout her career, Amiya Dindiyal is a very deserving Athlete of the Week. Athlete of the Week – Boy’s Tennis – Baylor Query, Senior This week’s Athlete of the Week is senior Baylor Query, who wrapped up an outstanding final season with the Mooresville Boys Tennis program this past week. Throughout his senior season, Baylor was a consistent presence near the top of the Pioneer lineup, competing at #2 singles and being counted on to provide a point each time Mooresville took the court. His success this season was the continuation of a strong varsity career that has placed him among the program’s leaders in career victories. More than his record, however, Baylor’s senior season was defined by the way he competed. He demonstrated tremendous toughness and determination throughout the year, battling through difficult matches and refusing to give in when faced with adversity. Whether dealing with an injury, facing a challenging opponent, or competing in a close match, Baylor consistently showed the grit that his coaches and teammates have come to expect from him. As a team captain, Baylor also provided an important example for the rest of the program. His coaches describe him as one of the hardest workers on the team, both during the season and throughout the offseason. That commitment has helped him continually improve his game while also setting an expectation for what it takes to compete at the varsity level. Baylor’s leadership was evident in the way he helped keep his teammates focused, prepared, and ready to compete. His combination of work ethic, competitiveness, and determination made him someone the Pioneers could rely on throughout his senior season. While his season came to an end at Sectionals, Baylor leaves behind much more than a win-loss record. The work he has put into the program, the example he has set for his teammates, and the toughness he displayed every time he stepped on the court have made a lasting impact on Mooresville Boys Tennis. For an outstanding senior season and the leadership he has provided throughout his Pioneer career, Baylor Query is a very deserving Athlete of the Week.
