The Mooresville Pioneers Junior Varsity Baseball team traveled to Greenwood on Wednesday to take on the Woodmen in game two of their Mid State Conference home and home series. Despite out hitting Greenwood (9 to 3) the Pioneers could not overcome a three run deficit in the third inning losing Wednesday's MSC road game, 4-2. With the loss the Pioneers dropped to 6-5-1 on the season. Dane Browning got the start for the Pioneers, Browning faced 27 hitters, allowed 3 hits, 1 earned run, walked 4, and struck out 8 in the loss. Offensively the Pioneers collected 9 hits, scored 2 runs, 1 RBI, were walked 3 times, and struck out 4 times. Mooresville will travel to Greenfield-Central on Thursday May 8, 2025 to take on the Cougars, first pitch scheduled for 6:00pm. #mooresvillepioneersbaseball2025
