The Mooresville Pioneers Junior Varsity Baseball Team improved to 7-5-1 on the season with an 8-2 road win over the Greenfield-Central Cougars. The Cougars took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning and that is how it stayed through four innings of play. Mooresville took the lead in the top of the fifth inning scoring six runs, Greenfield-Central scored one in the bottom half of the inning as the Pioneers were up 6-2 after five. Mooresville added two more in the top of the sixth to secure the 8-2 win. DJ Enkhorn got the start on the mound for the Pioneers, Enkhorn faced 27 hitters, allowed 7 hits, 2 earned runs, Walked 2, and struck out 4 to get the win. Stathan Thompson entered the game in the seventh and did not allow a hit or run to close out the game. Mooresville's offense scored 8 runs on 9 hits lead, 6 RBI, walked 3 times, and struck out 5 times. The Mooresville Pioneers Junior Varsity are back in action on Tuesday May 13, 2025 and will host the Plainfield Quakers, first pitch is scheduled for 5:30pm. #mooresvillepioneersbaseball2025
