The MHS Boys Tennis team traveled to Franklin Community High School today to compete in the Franklin Invitational. In the opening round, the varsity defeated host Franklin 3-2. Earning wins for the Pioneers were Archer Query at #1 singles, Baylor Query at #2 singles, and the duo of Jared Kempf and DJ Enkhorn at #2 doubles. In the championship round, Mooresville fell to Greenfield-Central by a 5-0 score. On the JV side, Franklin topped the Pioneers 3-0. With the split, the varsity moves to 2-2 on the season, while the JV drops to 1-2. The Pioneers return to action on Tuesday, August 26, when they travel to Decatur Central for a 5:30 p.m. Mid-State Conference matchup.
