Mooresville Pioneers Freshman Football Saturday Final Mooresville- 21 Bloomington North- 14 (Overtime) The Mooresville Pioneers Freshman Football Team traveled to Bloomington North on Saturday morning to open the 2025 season. The Pioneers took a 6-0 lead into the half yet found themselves in a 14-14 tie at the end of regulation. The Pioneers opened overtime on offense (1-10 from the 10 yard line) and proceeded to score on their first play as quarterback Quinn Kenworthy hit Braxton Roska on a screen, Roska was able to find the end zone (PAT Good- Kollie Newsted) to give Mooresville a 21-14 lead. Bloomington North began their first possession of overtime with a snap that sailed over the quarterbacks head as the play was whistled dead at the 25 yard line. The Pioneers defense was able to keep the Cougars out of the end zone securing the 21-14 overtime road win. The Pioneers will be back in action on Saturday August 30, 2025 to open the home portion of the 2025 schedule and will host Lafayette Central Catholic, kickoff scheduled for 10:00am.
