For all intensive purposes, Saturday's Bulldog Shootout was a sectional preview. About half of the teams that will compete at West Chase next Friday competed in the Shootout. The favorite to win the sectional and the #1 ranked team in the state won the tournament with a team score of 336. The Mooresville Pioneers team battled a hour and fifteen minute rain delay in the middle of the round and a strong field to finish 4th with a team score of 366. Senior Addison Farley led the Pioneers with a very solid 89. Julianna Bell shot a 90, Freshman Karleigh Reese shot a season best 93, and Bri Addair rounded out the Pioneer scoring with a 94. The Pioneers will travel to Twin Bridges Golf Course and take on Danville Monday in the final regular season match.
