Mooresville High School Athletic Department Pendill Wealth Management Athletes of the Week September 8th – September 13th The Mooresville High School Athletic Department is pleased to announce the Pendill Wealth Management Athletes of the Week Award for the week of September 8th – September 13th. The award will be given to one female and one male student-athletes who displayed athletic excellence in all areas of competition during the previous week of athletic contests. Pendill Wealth Management is proud to recognize student athletes for their athletic achievements each week while supporting the Mooresville Athletic Department. The Mooresville Athletic Department is honored to partner with BJ Pendill to recognize the Mooresville High School student athlete of the week. Athlete of the Week – Golf – Addison Farley, Senior This week’s Female Athlete of the Week is senior golfer Addison Farley, who has been on a strong run of performances as the Pioneers prepare for the postseason. Addison had an impressive showing at the Brownsburg Shootout, leading Mooresville with a score of 89. She also paced the team with a stellar 37 against Avon on Thursday. Her consistency carried into the Vincennes Invitational, where she once again led the Pioneers with an 85, helping secure a team victory. Addison’s game is rounding into form at the perfect time with Sectionals right around the corner. Beyond her scores, Addison has been a leader and role model, setting the tone for her teammates and especially guiding the incoming freshmen with her work ethic and example. She is a key piece of the team’s success and a steady force for Mooresville Girls’ Golf. Athlete of the Week – Football – Connor Cruz, Senior This week’s Athlete of the Week is senior quarterback and team captain Connor Cruz, who turned in a dominant performance in the Pioneers’ 43-21 win over Greenwood. Cruz completed 17 of 30 passes for 242 yards, connecting for five touchdown passes to three different receivers, showcasing both accuracy and command of the offense. Through the first four games of the season, Connor has been a consistent leader under center, completing 70 of 123 passes for 778 yards and averaging an impressive 11.1 yards per attempt. He has already thrown 13 touchdown passes, helping to spark the Pioneer offense. In addition to his passing, Cruz has contributed on the ground with 26 carries for 45 yards and two rushing touchdowns. As a senior captain, Connor not only leads with his play but also with his poise, confidence, and leadership on and off the field. His steady presence and competitive drive will continue to be a key factor in the Pioneers’ success as the 2025 season moves forward.
