Friday Night Lights Week 8 "Battle of the M" Mooresville Pioneers vs. Martinsville Artesian The 3-4 Mooresville Pioneers will travel to Martinsville in week 8 of the Indiana High School Football season to take on the 3-4 Artesian. Mooresville is coming off a week seven home loss to Whiteland 35-14, the Pioneers third consecutive loss, Martinsville defeated the Perry Meridian Falcons 46-21 in week seven. Friday's contest is the annual "Battle of the M" trophy game where the winner each season receives the "M" trophy and it stays at that school for the next 364 days. Martinsville won the "Battle of the M" in 2023 defeating Mooresville 38-35 and has retained the trophy for the past two seasons after winning again in 2024, 27-18. The Pioneers look to return the trophy back to Mooresville where it has not been since the 2022 season. Friday's contest look's to be an evenly matched ballgame as both teams sit at 3-4 with two games remaining in the regular season.
