Pioneers Wrap Up Season at Regional

The MHS boys tennis team competed in the Brownsburg Regional this afternoon. The Pioneers played hard but came up short against a talented Avon squad, falling 5-0. For Mooresville: #1 Singles: Archer Query lost 2-6, 0-6. Archer finished the season with an impressive 19-6 record and was undefeated in conference play (7-0). #2 Singles: Baylor Query lost 2-6, 1-6, finishing with an 11-14 record. #3 Singles: Jared Kempf lost 2-6, 4-6, ending the season with a 13-11 record. #1 Doubles: DJ Enkhorn and Kolten Wilson lost 1-6, 0-6, finishing with a 3-4 record as a pair. #2 Doubles: Ben Coffey and Grayson Furniss lost 0-6, 1-6, finishing with a 2-4 record together. The varsity team closed the year with a 13-12 overall record and a 5-2 mark in Mid-State Conference play. Their 13 wins matched last year’s total—the most by the program in the last 25 years. This year’s seniors leave behind an outstanding legacy with 44 varsity wins and three sectional championships. The tennis team and coaching staff would like to thank all the parents, fans, and players for their support throughout the season and wish the athletes good luck in their upcoming sports and activities.
